The purpose of this assignment is to identify a mental health disorder and relate it to the larger social and healthcare system structure. Identify and describe at least 2 specific ways this disorder (whether it be causes, treatment, social determinants) relates to college students/college campuses. Paragraph 3: Identify at least 2 types of stigma and/or discrimination associated with this disorder. Describe how people, media, society, etc. perpetuate the stigma or discrimination. How does this affect individuals with this diagnosis as well as our larger culture? Incorporate at least 1 ethical principle in talking about what can be done to combat the negative consequences of stigma and improve health outcomes.
